Valley Palms Apartments Gated Community
Effective Saturday, July 24, 2021 Valley Palms Apartments (136 W. Saginaw Way, Fresno, CA) will become a Gated Community. You may have noticed the various signs posted throughout the exterior perimeter of the property. Additionally, the parking lot area will also be fully enclosed by an automatic vehicle gate. Gated communities can help reduce crime and improve the quiet enjoyment of a property if the community works together in an integrated and collaborative way. This guide will help residents understand what they can do to help keep their community safe and secure.
What do the signs posted mean?
The "Private Property" sign means that only Tenants and their authorized Guests or Visitors are permitted to be on the property. The Property is no longer open to the general public to enter without permission or authorization. All Visitors must be permitted entry by the Property Owner or a Tenant. Additionally, Public Parking is Prohibited. All Tenant vehicles must be registered with the Management Company. Any unauthorized vehicles will be subject to immediate tow at the vehicle owner's expense. Finally, any common nuisance crimes such as public drinking, gambling and trespassing is also prohibited on the property. Violators may be cited or arrested.
Vehicle Gate Remotes
All current Tenants will be provided One (1) Vehicle Gate Remote on Saturday, July 24, 2021. An Adult must be present to sign the acknowledgement form and receive the Vehicle Gate Remote from 11:30AM to 1:00PM. Additional Vehicle Gate Remotes may be purchased from the Management Company.
Pedestrian Gate Keys
All current Tenants will be provided One (1) Pedestrian Gate Key on Saturday, July 24, 2021. An Adult must be present to sign the acknowledgement form and receive the Pedestrian Gate Key from 11:30AM to 1:00PM. Additional Keys may be obtained from the Management Company. Do not duplicate keys to provide to non-Residents or Visitors.
Gated Community Best Practices
- Turning on outdoor lights at night is a crime prevention step that helps illuminate the property which will deter criminal acts.
- Residents should be aware of their surroundings and know who belongs on the Property. Residents should report trespassers to the Management Company.
- If you "See-Something" strange or suspicious then please "Text Something" to the Management Company right away for further investigation.
- Report any damage or attempted vandalism to the Pedestrian Gate or Vehicle Gate immediately to the Management Company.
- Report anyone attempting to prop the Pedestrian Gate Open.
- Access Control, such as these gates, are a vital part of deterring criminal activity and effective and preventing unauthorized access to vehicles or property.
- Remind your Guests or Visitors of the new policy. Only a Tenant, Property Owners and the Management Company may authorize entry to the Property.
